Buying wine at auction is a wonderful way to access sought after wines without the fuss.
We run regular timed online auctions as well as live auctions at various venues across the UK.
So, how does it all work?
Download our App.
The quickest and easiest way to View, Bid & Buy Fine Wine from Taversham’s is via our iOS and Android Apps. Often our timed auctions have a quick turn-around so you need to keep up with the latest availability. You can also sign up to our mailing list.
Preview and log on at the right time.
Details of all the wines, their condition and starting price will be advertised in advance, you can preview and see what’s being offered. We offer small private cellars at auction as well as tracking down our own interesting and unusual discoveries.
Bid on a ‘Timed Auction’.
‘Timed Auctions’ are featured in our App and on our website, all lots are open for bids any time during the auction, they usually last for two weeks. Set your maximum bid and we’ll increase it on your behalf. You’ll get notified if someone outbids you, so you’ve got a chance to have another think.
Bid on a ‘Live Auction’
We’ll let you know where and when and you can be a part of the live auction. You don’t even need to attend in person! For the best experience, live stream the Auction via our App or at auctions.tavershams.com. You can take part, watch and bid while the auction is happening. You’ll know if you’ve won your lot instantly.
Pay for your wine.
Once you’ve won your wines at auction, we’ll send you an invoice for the ‘Hammer Price’, your winning bid. We’ll also add on any Buyers Premium and auction fees. You’ve got 7 days to pay for your wine.
